Chlorine-Sulfonated-Polyethylene (CSM or CSPE)

Chlorine-Sulfonated-Polyethylene (CSM or CSPE)Description:

Chlorine-sulfonated polyethylene containing 1.5% sulfur and 27% chlorine. Its properties are comparable to those of chlorine-butadiene-rubber CR. Because of the chlorine atoms contained within the chlorine-sulfonyl-group and the lacking of double bonds, dCSMdd is resistant to ozone and features good electrical insulating properties. However it is more expensive than CR.

Usage:

CSM is mostly applied when blended with NR, BR or SBR in order to increase the processing qualities of these materials.

Category:
Elastomer

Formula:
