Ethylene–Tetrafluoroethylene-Fluorocopolymer (ETFE)

Ethylene–Tetrafluoroethylene-Fluorocopolymer (ETFE)Description:

E/TFE is a semi-crystalline, transparent and thermoplastic fluorinecopolymer, which is characterised by resistance to chemicals, good mechanical properties and good resistance to atmospheric corrosion. However it offers a lower stability at high temperatures compared with PTFE. The durable service temperature of the copolymer is approximately 150°C, however E/TFE can be momentary loaded with temperatures by 230°C.

Usage:

  • tubes
  • envelope for cables
  • as coating material for industrially used tubes
