Ethylene-Tetrafluoroethylene-Hexafluoropropylene-Fluoroterpolymer (EFEP)

Ethylene-Tetrafluoroethylene-Hexafluoropropylene-Fluoroterpolymer (EFEP)Description:

EFEP is a transparent terpolymer, which is consisting of ethylene, tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP). Due to his resistance to atmospheric corrosion and his resistance to chemicals this terpolymer has a large application bandwidth. At 280°C starts partial decomposition of the terpolymer. The decomposition is accompanied by the release of toxic vapour wherefore the service temperature of EFEP lies under 280°C.

Usage:

  • as transparent protection film
  • manufacture of transparent tubes for chemical transport
  • transparent storage bottles for chemicals
  • fuel pipes in automobiles

Formula:

Ethylene-Tetrafluoroethylene-Hexafluoropropylene-Fluoroterpolymer (EFEP)

Category:
