Polychloroprene (CR)

Polychloroprene (CR)Description:

Raw monomeric chloroprene is a colourless fluid. It is insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents and has got a tendency towards crystallisation. The polymer is industrially produced by adding HCl to vinylacetylene or directly from butadiene and chlorine whereas nowadays, the latter method is the dominating. (see also: Chloroprene-Rubber, CR)

Usage:

Adhesive agents (cold-processed polymer resins), cables, protective enclosures, conveyor belts (hot-polimerised polychloroprenes)

Formula:

Polychloroprene (CR)

Kategorie:
Elastomer
